Welcome to Automation, Navigation & Control Systems (ANCS). We are a leading provider of innovative hardware and software technologies that transform the way vessels operate. With a rich history of pioneering maritime solutions, we are dedicated to ensuring that vessels can navigate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations.
The navigation system contributes to safe Navigation and energy-efficient voyage execution by providing user-centric tools for voyage planning, voyage optimisation and collision avoidance. It provides unique flexibility, redundancy and scalability paired with an intuitive user interface.
The automation system is designed to enhance the level of awareness, safety, and control over every ship’s operational aspect, from a small standalone Alarm Monitoring System to larger Integrated Modular Architecture. It’s a set of unique and integrated tools that enhance focus attention to where it’s needed the most, optimise work and daily tasks flow, event analysis, incident management and decision support tools to take monitoring and safety to next level.
NACOS Connect features 4 core offerings:
1. OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture)
With uninterrupted, high-resolution data streaming from automation systems, OPC UA gives us the power to deliver secure, scalable insights for internal analytics—all while keeping costs down and systems running smoothly.
2. Remote Mimics
With our Remote Mimics, the NACOS Platinum interface is now web-based, making it accessible anywhere—onboard, at a control centre, or even from an office.
3. Remote Maintenance
By leveraging internet connectivity, our NACOS experts can remotely maintain systems and resolve issues faster—without the need for an engineer to be physically present.
4. Replay Mimics
A complete data replay of the automation system, including 1 to 1 replica of onboard Mimics, gives remote users a full overview for seamless incident investigation and enhanced operational insights.

The dynamic positioning system ensures that the thrusters and rudders hold the vessel at a specific heading and position despite environmental forces that might drive ships off-station. It uses inputs from one or more heading sensors combined with position inputs from one or more position reference sensors to precisely control the vessel’s heading and position.
The sensors, provided by Guidance Marine, based on laser and radar technology can provide both local position information (where the vessel is relative to its surroundings), and also situational awareness (regarding what is around the close vicinity of the vessel). This ensures you always have complete view and control of your surroundings, without GNSS gaps and lags.
Guidance Marine is the ONLY company that provides targetless solutions for both laser and radar applications within the maritime industry, including windfarms.
