India’s Inland Waterways Development Council (IWDC) has announced INR500bn ($5.8bn) investment to enhance its inland waterways network. This financial injection aims to strengthen infrastructure along national waterways.

German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has secured $4bn green financing for 24 new container vessels. The ships feature a combined capacity of 312,000 TEU.

The Klaipeda Port Authority in Lithuania has announced an investment of €308m ($321m) aimed at transforming the port into an “innovative” hub for maritime services and green energy. The investment will target modern infrastructure development, maritime business value creation, and sustainability solutions.

Octopus UK Bidco, a subsidiary of FTV VIII, has announced a recommended cash acquisition of Windward, a maritime artificial intelligence based analytics firm, in a deal valued at around £216m ($270.7m). The deal will result in Windward shareholders receiving 215 pence per share in cash.

AD Ports Group has entered into a shareholders’ agreement with CMA Terminals, to jointly develop and operate the New East Mole multipurpose terminal in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo. The initial phase includes a $220m investment to construct a 400m quay wall and a 10ha logistics area.
